In one of the more extraordinary films we've worked on, 'Impossible' called for a dazzling array of effects - from the rampant vortex of debris swirled in by a tentacle arm, eerie character dissolves, and a grand finale with another vortex - this time ethereal, dreamy and psychedelic. We got to implement various novel approaches, like guiding projected fluid simulations with cloth strips, and running hundreds of millions of particles on twisting energy fields.
